CDK II - carb High speed needle ???

Little background - bought a locked up 2000 Genesis - top end torn down...

I have lots of mechanic experience but ZERO jet ski experience..

bought an engine off of ebay --- (long block)...

Re-assembled... previous owner said carbs had been rebuild .. put old carbs back on...

On test run at lake .. would idle ok .. but would not plane out or get past 4500 rpms .. I assumed a dead cylinder from a bad carb ---all three getting spark...

ordered some carb kits.. decided to pull carbs and dissassmble one while I wait for kits to arrive...

Went to pull the high speed jet .. and it appears to be missing... ?? all three appear to be missing.......

Took a pic.. can someone please confirm that the high speed needle jet is indeed missing .. and I assume this would be my problem with high speed performance..

There is no high speed needle on these carbs. High end adjustments are all done with jetting changes.

Check that all of your carb passages are clean. Verify needle arm height as well.
