    No spark, Ficht engine CPS ohms not within specification

    I am having the same problem with no spark. Stator voltages look good.

    My CPS measures about 750 ohms whether it's aligned with a tooth or not. I have seen where it should read about 200 ohms max. Would this most likely be my problem?

    The CPS generates about 2.5 to 3 volts AC when the engine is cranking.

    If the CPS ohms measurement is out of spec then it probably is not working as it should.

    There may be other issues but installing a good CPS would be a step in the right direction.

    just curious but isnt the AC voltage test the definitive answer?

    spec says 430ohm +-30

    Perhaps we are looking at different specifications sources.

    I am unaware of a voltage output test/specification for the Ficht CPS sensor.

    yea I just grabbed that from the Kawasaki Ultra DI manual
    didnt realize the CPS had different specs from one model to another
    but normally if its putting out good AC voltage and swings from 2-5v its considered good.
    the Kaw shop manual says 2.7v or higher it tests good.

    I do know you need to make sure everything is clean and oil free or the CPS will get confused.
