    What faster 2008 rxp-x 255 or 2011 rxt-x 260

Me and buddy are always trying to beat each other. Frist he had a rxt-x 255. And that made me look like a turtle on my polairs 1200 So I bought a rxp-x 255 and he got a 2012 rxt-x 260 he is still ahead of me not by much but he is. Now I've been having problems getting my top rpm But today I was hitting 66 mph and that's what it say a rxp-x stock will get maybe 67. But his seadoo is huge. I am 100 more pound but that should get us the same. I would think. Or is the 2011 260 just a bet faster then the 2008 rxp-x 255, if it is I'm happy with that it is a 260. But if not then i still have something going on and I will be putting in some jet fuel nexts. Lol. Let me no. Before its another night of dreaming of the stage 1 kit to cream his ass. Thanks

When me and a mate were both stock I was just slowly creeping away on glass water. In Chop the 260 will be quicker
    I have a 2010 px 255

Cool, so we should at least be side by side. So I still have a bet to do. Stage 1 it is. With out him knowing. Lol.

It's his S3 hull that is really going make it easier for him to outrun you if there is any chop. That hull cuts through chop much better than your hull.

So yes, for the most part you'll need to do some upgrades to beat him. Look around on here there is a lot of knowledge available at your finger tips from people who have upgraded your model. You'll know what works and what doesn't and what is the cheapest way to go too get the most out of it.

Perfect. So really my seadoo is doing what stock will do. Because like I said I'm almost side by side but he still got the power. So now it who's got the most money. Lol

If you do the Stage 1 kit, DO NOT buy the speed override module, its junk!

Get rid of the stock intake grate. The 'X' model grate is monstrous and eats speed. Buy an aftermarket and you'll gain 1-2mph without any other modifications.
If you're down on rpm, check your charger's slip. That or it may be the heat.

New intake grate , pitch the impeller and an air intake and you will see gains.
I've seen as much as a 4 mph gain and way more pull from the start with a properly pitched impeller. We had to pitch and pull the impeller 4 times to get the 4 mph...

Check the slip on the s/c or just get it completely rebuilt with new washers n bearings if it's more than 2-3 years old.

    Rip on...
