Supercharger casting imperfection or am i F#@ed...
So i was bolting everything back on my motor last night and everything was going good.
I got to tighten up the upper sc bolt and notice this....
So i bring it to work, triple seal the shit out of it so nothing gets in, and media blast the area. What do you guys think. Housing defect, crack, shut up and run it. If this brand new rebuilte motor implodes because of this SC i will loose it.
The side i though had the crack looks good.
The other side looks a bit iffy.... Me thinks some NDE needs to be done to make sure it isn't a crack.

Thats got to be the cleanest red s/c I have seen in years!
Usually they start to corode under the red powder coat and flake off in massive pieces and look horrible.
Yours was probably the very early stage of a bit of corosion poking through.
