    R12x overheating problems

Hey we have an R12x that's having overheating issues, we bought the ski, put probably 7-8 hours on it then we took it out and after about 2 hours of riding the ski temp warning light and buzzer came on, we were in a spot with alot of seaweed so we were hoping it just sucked up some seaweed checked and no sea weed we were hoping when the sk iwas turned off and the jet pump didn't have suction anymore it dropped whatever it was from the grate, we let it cool down, rode it back and put it back on the trailer. The next time we took it out after about an hour it did the same thing so we brought it in again and were told maybe the oil just needed to be changed, the oil did look runny and was probably pretty old so we changed and took it out, this time after about 20 minute it started over heating. The ski is pissing water as it should on the hose and in the water. We know it is actually getting hot not just a faulty sensor because side by side with my FX HO cruiser that went out at the same time and ran the same amount of time the water coming out of my FX is cold where as the water coming out of the R12 is very hot. Any ideas?

when you say pisser is running Hot they do run kindof warm??? check the jet pump screen inlet to see if its semi glogged? does it overheat on the hose??

The water coming out of it when hooked up to the hose is all hotter than it should be, it has a new jet pump screen (replaced after it started getting hot). Takes 15 minute to an hour to get hot when riding so it won't overheat sitting there on the hose.

Check the " check valve" inside hull its a 3 way tee looking thing ball may be jammed......also try blowing air through flush port and reverse the air going through pisser

another thing is I have taken the heads off these and the water cooling track is not the best design, so many times I have seen alot of sand stuck into this track that could cause it not to cool at it restricts the water flow, compressed air can help to blow anything like this out,
