Rust on outside of spark plugs

I just took my 96 gsx out of storage, went to look at the engine and I noticed both plugs had rust on them, is this normal?.... What should I do if this is a problem?.....or is it because of condensation over winter storage?

    Thanks in advance

Condensation. Temp changes in storage, is all. The hull gets hit by sun, heats it up, causes condensation. Since the plugs ground to the threads in the head, there should be no functional problem.

mine are waaay worse than that... if you pull the plugs they will look like new. if you want to clean them up just take a wire wheel to them.

spritz a little wd40 on that part of the plugs when you put new ones in. I've never had mine rust. It doesnt really affect anything, but it looks a whole lot nicer without the rust.
