    GP1300R Cat Temp Sensor Chip?

When I bought my 2007 GP1300R it had the D plate already installed. There was no chip to fool the cat temp sensor so after riding for a few minutes I get the annoying cat overheat beep. If I reset it the noise goes away but the light stays on. I tried plugging in the chip off my GP1200R but it didn't do anything. Do I need a different chip?
