    Exclamation 2008 RXT-X 255 Issue

    Hello,

My friend just bought used 2008 RXT-X255 from dealer with 9 hrs on it. I help him to do oil change and spark plugs. When he went on lake with his new toy, the throttle is not as responsive, around 5-6k rpm it vibrates a lot, and the supercharger won't kick on as responsive (like 2-4sec delay than the supercharger will turn on). The ski can go 70mph but takes time to reach that. Do you guys think he should let Jerry do rebuilt on that? I am not sure if that ski sat lonnnng time or ????. I can't find the issues or solution to fix this! Any help will huge help with me... Thanks

Guess the dealer will not fix the ski? Its been sitting for a long time, if it only has 9 hours.

Doubt its the SCer at this point. Getting the SCer rebuilt will not fix the running issues.

did you change the gas??? might be old gas if the ski was sitting for a while

Although unlikely to be "worn out" SC it may for some reason have little or no slip resistance. I would run a quick slip test whilst it's on the ski (takes 30mins max). Then you can eliminate this.

Worth also quickly checking / tugging on both the air flow hoses after SC (SC to IC, IC to throttle body).

Are the coils pushed down onto the spark plugs completely?

Did you use the right plugs, with the removable tops?
