I think I broke my reverse bucket :(

Hey guys, today I was about to get into a wreck with another boat and the only real option I had was to throw the jetski in reverse at about 25mph. The jetski stopped but the reverse bucket was stuck down even when I put the handle back to forward. I pushed by bucket back up with my hand and the bucket sorta works it goes back down fine, but when I put it back to forward it stops about 1in from lifting all the way up. What did I damage and what cost are we looking at?

Cost of not crashing into a boat and no one's hurt.... I'd say priceless! Is the bucket itself broke or what?

Im guessing you broke the plastic lugs in the handle not the bucket itself its 250/260 right?

    Its a 300

You're absolutely correct! The two lugs are broken inside of the handle! Sure beats trying to replace the cable, now I just need to source a new handle lol

    (OLD)

Yeah, no one was hurt. Bucket seems to be fine. Something to do with the cable. I can lift the bucket up and down on land. I put it in the water today with the bucket down and the jet going I can't lift it. The lever goes down but the bucket stays in reverse. All the plastic seems to be in good order. So how hard is it to replace the cable

P.S. Hm the only thing I can find on replacing it is a dead link. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...+reverse+cable anyone know a guide or is it pretty straight forward

I gorilla glued it back together. All I want is for the bucket to stay up for fathers days weekend, I don't need reverse. Replacing the handle sure is cheaper than the cable. Thanks a ton nicjak, the way it was operating I would have never guessed the lugs in the handle were damaged Have a good weekend!
