Reeving high untill it catches water with new grate !!!!

I recently purchased a new grate for my Honda Aqua trax Turbo and yesterday I took it out to the lake and it seems like from the jump when I am giving it the gas it is just reeving up to a high pitch and is going no where.!. if I ease slow into it it still does it ( reeving up high going no where) but it eventually catches water and wants to take off. at high speed it is no problem its catching fine and no slips, only from the open. Im wondering if its the grate not pushing water into it, or what could it be can anyone help??

Same problem here pal ; translater mixes everything up , but i think he means that you have to cut off the 1th, 3th and 5th rib , and only keep the 2nd and 3th rib off the intake grade . I also bought an R&D intake grade; it costs me 315 $ before it arrived at my home here in Belgium, do you mean it is useless then ?
