How to: Rxp rear intake for around $50 pep boys one stop shop
So here goes, I wanted to do a rear intake and not spend 300+ dollars on one, so I improvised. What you'll need:
1.Speed by spectre part no. 9751, like kanaflex, it comes with two ends $32
2. A 3 inch piece of 4" tubing $6, 2- 4" hose clamps $3
3. I used a 3-4" fizzle supercharger adapter that was used for $30 from a member in the classifieds, but you can also use a 3-4" adapter from pep boys for around $10.
I started by cutting my rear ventilation duct down to 10", then heated the plastic with a heat gun. I then took the 3" piece of 4" tubing and slipped it into the duct once it was heated until it was half in and half out. I then cut down the 4" air duct hose so it was 18.5" with both ends on it fully extended. The rest is pretty straight forward, I also drilled two 2" holes into the rear grab bar for better air flow but I'm leaving the stock intake in the ski for when I go ocean riding so I can quickly swap back to stock with no worries.
