    FX SVHO or FZS SVHO?

    Hey all,

I'm trying to decide between these two. It seems like the FX is better for comfort and stability on open waters and big waves while FZS is better for flat water and racing, correct?

thats correct , if you ride in open waters like ocean where conditions are mostly choppy go with the fx , you wont regret it , much smother ride. if you ride in flat waters , lakes or rivers , you can go with any of the two , but the fz will be the most fun, lighter, faster, more agile , better acceleration and great speed potential when moded. hope it helps

In chop the FX seems to get the nod, but the FZ is a blast in BIG waves, which is not the same as chop..
Also the FZ with stock ride plate sucks, replace the ride plate and its a whole new ride in chop.

I will ride 100% in lakes and rivers and would prefer a more agile ski. I think that means FZS

How does the ride change with an aftermarket ride plate?

The aftermarket plate or Jims modded plat on the FZ's will get you a couple more MPH and will increase handling as well. I will not be riding another FZ svho with a stock plate.
