    Oil capacity FZR SVHO

Took oil out today and a full gallon came out, do I put a full gallon back in?

I put in exactly what I take out. So from me, it's a yes. Owner's manual may have some insight. 09 fzr

    Oil capacity FZR SVHO

Very thin tube and electric pump and dropping the front of the ski almost to the floor.

what you take out you put back in, and don't forget any oil lost when you remove the filter. So might be a little more than what you got out with the pump. Always check you level with the dip stick after you do your change to make sure its OK.

Make sure the ski is level too. I put a level on the engine and adjust the trailer until the motor sits flat.

When you read your SVHO oil stick , is there oil on the sides of the stick above the 2 indicator holes? Mine has oil on the sides, but is solid in the area between the 2 indicator holes. My 2012 FZR just read in the range. Dealer checked it and said that's how they read on the new oil sticks.

regardless how much fluid you pulled out use the dipstick to set the fluid level to full mark on the dipstick. Install 3 qts of oil start motor let idle for 1-2 minutes max stop enging let it sit for 15 minutes and add only what oil is needed to read full on the dipstick ! Tommy Jordan
