Scuff/Sand the tunnel, vacuume any dust, brush resin on the tunnel, lay a sheet, dry tacky for 10 minutes, brush some resin, lay a sheet, dry tacky, brush on some more resin, lay a sheet, and so on. 3-4 sheets should be plenty. No sanding. this stuff dries smooth and glossy....
Scuff the hull/tunnel to allow the resin to adhere to the tunnel well.

What kind of resin? You need to use an epoxy based to stick to SMC!
Billy, don't you have a picture of the West System stuff?

My local ACE hardware sells it but I live on the coast in FL so it may be harder to find up North.

The one piece R&D unit would seem stronger with the correct epoxy.

Just finished. At first i thought i was going to make a catastrophe out of it but got to working with it and it didnt turn out all that bad. I have a couple places where i have resin that i dont want it but it dried clear and you cant see it. I sanded it with 60 grit then went to work. First i applied resin, then a piece of cloth, then resin, clothe resin clothe then finished it with abnother layer of resin. It dried kidna quick and i wasnt able to play with it long but once i sand it with some 200-300 grit to make it pretty i think it will be ok.
Dogger- I think anyone can do this as long as they are somewhat a jack of trades. I just took my exhaust out, waterbox and back. Then all the different hoses. sanded it to be rough, then made a template for the fibeglass cloth out of paper then just did what i said i did above. I think it cost me a total of 35 dollars. Make sure you have somekinda latex glove to use.
