    Hi Ratrace... welcome back.

So did you get your water in the oil issue resolved? What about your over-pressurizing leaking coolant? Did you ever determine your problems during your overhaul? What all did you do for your overhaul?

I recall you had a no speed being indicated on the display last year too. As recommended then... check the wires from the flapper wheel to the display. Now that you also have issues with the mode button... I suspect either the wiring at the display... or the display itself.

    Cheers!

Check the two connectors near the hood hinge. Look for loose connections, damage/frayed wires or simple corrosion.

Sounds like you need to rebuild the MSX thru-hull driveshaft bearing assembly. Takes a special tool to get a wrench on the driveshaft so you can unscrew it from the pump-side coupler.

    See the info here:

    Cheers!

Just wanted to up date you on the over pressurized coolant system. I must of not torqued the head bolts. they were loose and 1 bolt came off completely. tightened the bolts and problem was solved. Thanks for asking...you live and you learn.

Ah... you were blowing compression pressures into the coolant jacket. Essentially the same as a blown headgasket. Hopefully retorquing the headbolts seals it all back up. Have you ever run compression test since this?

    Cheers!
