Replacing impeller on an 2003 sportster 4 tec
I just pulled out the jet pump on my 03 sportster. I'm about to change the impeller and I looked at the pump and a few of the veins are missing little pieces on the output side. It's just cheap plastic. Should I replace the jet pump or will it make a difference? Are they all plastic? I'm installing a solas 11/19 impeller. I was getting 47 mph before and the stock impeller looks beat up. Just looking for advice before I put it back together. Thanks.

If you are not cavitating now you may be ok. If you do not mind the cost upgrading to an aluminum pump is well worth it. Can find used ones for $200-$250.
