    2001 Yamaha GP800R problems..

Hi, I have a 2001 yamaha gp800R that has about 130 hours on it. I bought the ski about 4 years ago, and it has ran great and gave me no problems, the only problem I had was after running for awhile, if I shut it off it would take quite a few cranks for it to get started again.

The ski ran fine as far as power the last time I took it out last year. Now today was the first time this year I had taken it out on the water since last year, and I hit the gas to go, and the ski would only run about 8mph at 4000rpm at full throttle. it wouldn't go any faster at all. I'm kinda lost on what would be causing that. It wasn't cutting out, or acting up it just wouldn't go. Any of you have any ideas on what something like that might be?

You may have bad gas in the tank or your carbs are dirty.....and check compression
