Ride plate angle vs trim tab angle

Should they be the same, or off set?

They will be different. Most of us have our plates angled pretty high in the rear and the tabs pretty much stay at the stock angle. The tabs can be shimmed for a tighter ride but most would agree to shim all 4 corners equally.

closer to 5 degrees - make changes in very small increments until speed peaks

get the front of the plates to be very close to being flush with the shoe - make sure it doesn't hang down below the shoe

2 washers under all 8 bolts of the trim tabs seems to work nicely

Yeah, what size and thickness of washers. Would this apply to the R&D trim tabs ?

The R&D's are already .110 thicker than stock. (If my memory is correct)

You are correct Jeff. To get OEM tabs at the same level as R&Ds shimmed would take a stack of washers.

OK ive just purchased my R&D trim tabs. So do i need to shim them (add washers), or can i just polish them and fit.
