    2010 rxt ibr/pump fixing plates

I removed my pump the other day and ran into the spinning brass nuts inside the fixing plates both sides, looks like it has been apart before because the right side rear part of fixing plate plastic was broken off at the rear brass nut insert and had a regular nut on inside of the hull holding a new not oem thinner diameter bolt. (another dealer f#$%^&P hack job)..

Anyway I ordered 2 new fixing plates and they have a new part number, did they make any upgrades to this new fixing plate to keep brass nut from spinning?

I read a few posts about putting blue locktite on and just snugging bolt or leaving the threads clean and just snugging bolt, what method is everone using?

    Thanks
    Bill

seadoo did update backing plates. instead of round brass inserts, they are now square. i don't put locktite back on them, just tighten up and check every once in awhile

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN them. Make sure you use the torque spec...It is very light torque

As Tiny said...very light torque and NO loctight. I just did my IBR side. Watch for orings to compress, not much more torque needed.

    Manual says 12 Nm.

    Well that's to much too......

Luckily it happened during install on rightside.
