2001 XA 800 - assembly/air leak question
Engine rebuild from pwcengine.com. Carbs were also sent out. put it together a few months ago. Ran fine for the break in.
This week it was running fine, then something changed. Started bogging, wouldn't go, seemed like starved for fuel. Then when flushing on trailer, did the runaway throttle thing. Compression is still 120 in both cylinders.
From reading the forums is it likely an air leak? I would like to think the engine was pressure tested when it was rebuilt...
Do I have it correct that when assembling, it goes: Carbs, gasket, reed plate, reeds. No other gaskets other than the one under the carbs? I have read about people using 3 bond 1211 to help seal that area? where exactly would that be used?
Thanks for any help.
