Newbie, need advise for first oil change in 2014 FX SVHO

Can anyone recommend a decent oil extractor to do my own oil changes on my 2014 FX SVHO?
Also does any know where the extraction points are? IS it the dipstick tube?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

    1. Yes the dipstick tube is where I have been extracting my oil from with my 09 FX SHO.

    2. I was able to accomplish changing my oil with the following extractor. http://www.lowes.com/pd_141690-60928-2005_

Be aware that the clear tube that comes with this extractor WILL NOT FIT in the dipstick tube of a 2009 FX SHO. You have to get a smaller tube to fit down in the dipstick tube.

I bought this as well http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...Fe4F7Aodsi0A3w

You can get them from just about any auto parts store. I used the little black tube that came with this second pump (you probably could just use the extractor as well and not need the one from lowes but I already had the one from lowes), it has little couplings that allowed me to adapted the smaller hose to the lowes extractor pump.

I usually get a little less than 3 quarts out of mine.

    Good luck!

I actually just bought this item here from Northern tools and it works like a gem! The tube fits right down the oil dipstick shaft.

Thanks for responding !! I think my owners manual says the capacity is 3.8 quarts. How much of that will actually come out using this method?

Hi, extracting the oil from the dipstick tube will not get all the oil out, since this is a new ski and it is the first oil change, I suggest getting the "Last Drop" oil extraction system from Riva, it only takes about 15- 20 min. to install and it is a great product!

Do yourself a favor and pick up or borrow a wee wee pad for pets. Slide it under the engine. Helps collect oil that WILL run down the side of the cooler.

    Use this

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JFJM14/...332200_TE_item

Put a plastic bag over the filter before removal. Oil soak Matt underneath the filter to catch any creeping oil. Suck out of dipstick (comes with multiple diameter tubes)

    Peace of cake
