    cranking over too much?

I have a ski thats a non runner due to spark/fuel issues.
Am i causing damage by cranking over everytime to see if the problem is fixed?
Would wd 40 in the plug holes help or will it be just fine?

Some fogging oil might be a better choice. If its a spark issue it's still getting fuel/oil if it's pre mixed so id say its fine. If it's not getting fuel and the motor has been sitting and is dry it say it's probably not good and you should spray some fogging oil or drop a little bit of 2 stroke oil in there.

If its still on oil inject, no problem. Even premix would not be an issue, as there is no combustion to burn away what oil is already there. As a matter of fact, if you find it to be an ignition problem, be sure you are outside and have cardboard/paper towel under the exhaust when you fire it up. I had a no start issue last summer, with a lot of cranking. When I finally got the problem solved, it poured out a lot of oil/fuel out the exhaust and made a big mess when it started.

If its not getting fuel/oil you have to worry about the crank bearings also, putting what ever lubricant in the top end wont get the bearings....

If you have a wooden dowel you can push each piston to the bottom so the ports are open and spray away, it will get to the crank if you let it pool and sit. It will drain through the intake port into the crank case. Look up how to winterize a GPR and its the same method.
