    About to purchase a pair of 07's

    Good Morning,

    I've been looking for a while and found a pair of skis im interested in. Both are 2007's, one has 230hr and the other 260. Seller states they both have rebuilt superchargers with no time on them except testing. Also states new impellers. Both are fresh water skis from original owner. 10,000 is the asking price which seems fair. The hours seem high compared to other skis ive been looking at. I guess my question is, should I be scared of the hours? What kind of rpms should they turn on a test ride? Anything I should look at before forking over the cash? Thanks for any info!

    You should not be worried about the hours as long as they were well maintained. Does he have receipts for the supercharger rebuild? If not I wouldn't take him on his word for it. You should get somewhere between 7900-8100 RPM wise on a test ride.

    I am new to PWC. Why should one not worry about hours on a machine during the purchase process of a used machine? Do these machines run hundreds of hours before needing any major rebuilds like a top end rebuild etc. ?

    Here's a perfect example of why lower hours aren't necessarily better;
