Hello fellow Kokomo guy. The '02 shaft is talked about because of the upgrade to a 2" pump extension housing. When you use the 2" extension, you have to use a longer intermediate shaft, except of the '02 which requires you to use a longer pump shaft instead. Its all outline in the archives somewhere if you search for it. The above post by RX951 gives some links.

nice thanks for the info...im kinda new to the gpr scene still...im having issues not getting the power to the ground after talking to jim he thought it was the intermediate shaft.. well i think its the shaft too but after i took the pump and d shaft back out last night i can turn the intermediate shaft by hand! my issue is at the coupler either its sheared or unthreaded its self..any ideas?

Where are you are turning the intermediate shaft from? If behind the engine, you should be able to see if the coupler (engine drive coupler if I read you right) is intact, stripped at the shaft going in, or if the fingers are stripped off. I don't believe it can come "unthreaded" as it is self tightening, as the engine turns, its threads are forced to tighten by rotation.

well i know the problem is at the threads of the coupler and the shaft going to try to get the motor slid forward to get it out sometime this week...with it still spinning the coupler and not the shaft im assuming that both are now trashed...
