What is the price on the SC impeller and the RR HD cluch ???
Thinking about jumping onto the vortex SC impeller by Memorial Day weekend. What is the price on getting the SC impeller and the heavy duty racing cluch instaled? I might just pull the SC and just send it off to PPG to have it all done at one time. Will I also need to get another repitch on the Solas Impeller? If that is the case I will probly have to sedn that along with it.

Jr. your current pitch will be fine.
PPG's price on the Vortech SC impeller is $360 and the price for the HD clutch is $170 (last time i checked)
I'd let them go ahead and do the install for you.

I did exactly what you are thinking and glad I did. I pulled out the S/C, mailed to Glenn, and he installed the HD clutch and impeller for me. From out of my boat and back in within a week. I called John before I shipped it and also put a note in the box with what I wanted done, return address, phone #, ect...

Installing the SC impeller is really easy. The clutch is easy as well, but I can understand why you might want to send it off for someone else to do.

I had most of my mods on the Doo when I only had 1 hour on it. The Impeller with sponsons and blockoffs came right afterwards. I can say that it felt like the accelaration improved out of the hole with the impeller. Believe it or not, I am still breaking it in, but the "LiquidDi Style" "mine runs fast. I did do a wide open throttle run with mine within the first hour. I did another one every hour for the first 10 hours. varied the throttle the rest of the time for the first 10 hours." Everything is so far so good.
Mark U also commented and was very surprised with my numbers prior to the ECU and Intercooler. Actually, he seemed a little shocked and said I should consider myself lucky that I have even seen those numbers and continue to break it in as I am. Got a good ski off the assembly line.
ECU (4501) with RR Intercooler and plumbing on the way..

I broke in my RXP very much like you did and I had a fast one in pure stock form it was 69.8. I got ridiculed on the "other site" for breaking in my ski in this fashion (feb 04), but i have always broken in my 4 strokes this way (little rice burners) and they all have been fast/reliable.

I belive the key is to vary the RPM, and don't do extended WOT but keep your break in on the fast side. (don't putput around)

Hulk and maybe two others backed me on my break-in style.

Common knowledge on 4 stroke break in, break it in fast and it's going to be fast.
