    FZR Normal operating voltage

What is the normal operating voltage by the gauge on a FZR? Mine is 13.2 idle and 13.5 midrange, and drops to 13.2 at full throttle.
I would have expected 13.8 or more, especially at full throttle. I have a fresh R3 tune and have to run a power commander to keep A/F in the 11's at wfo. Thinking maybe the fuel pump might not be getting enough voltage and thereby pressure at higher RPM's.

I never checked my voltage, did you take a look in the service manual?

    Is the gauge accurate?

Use a quality digital multimeter to verify the display accuracy. Compare voltage readings with engine off, and with engine running.

~12.0 sitting with the engine off, high 13s while running according to the gauge on the dash. Also, I'm surprised you need to run a power commander with the R3 and B1. I would think a R3 would have enough fuel with that wheel.

The voltage should never drop going WOT. I would start out with replacing your battery. It could have a dead cell in it. If not check out your stator and voltage rectifier.

I just replaced the battery, that's what got me looking at the voltage. I have not double checked with my meter, but will this weekend. What got me thinking after seeing the low output voltage was maybe this is my I need a commander for my B1 and Fizzle equipped boat. I had sent my R2 out last summer to get upgraded to the newest R3, and still was lean on top. With the voltage dropping as RPM goes up, the fuel pump will be slowing down with the voltage and putting out less pressure. Looks like I need to look a little deeper, I don't remember the manual giving a voltage range, but just other checks for stator and regulator.
