Yamaha SUV...Is it possible to just pull the head and cylinders and re-install
My buddy is still running his SUV that we ended up having weak compression (100 to 104) on the middle cylinder after replacing the piston and rings on just that cylinder. It's possible thatthe rings have just not fully seated or that I flexhoned too much or that the new SBT piston was a bit too small?
He's gonna ride another 18 gallon tank of gas out with it and then check compression again. If the results are less than we need then we r going to pull the cylinders again and bore to .5 over.
Has anyone ever specifically pulled the SUV cylinders off and then had any luck reinstalling with the motor still in place with the full exhaust still connected or what is the least you have taken off and been able to re-install the cylinders on yet? SUV specific please...
