Stage 1 Kit into GTR215 ... Anyone done this ?

    Hi All

Posted this topic incorrectly a few days ago I do apologise.
My Ski is 2 years old and out of warrantly this August......... I'm in Northern Ireland so my dealer is excellent but limited.
I'm toying with the idea of the Riva stage 1 Kit .... $5000 approx.
To me that £3,3200 .......... A lot of money for 3 mph
2 things i'm asking ............Has any GTR or 215 owners done this .. what's your opinions ?
and ..... Any tips on pitfalls or problems installing
    Thanks Guys

to me that amount of $$$ is not worth the mph gain.

i can see doing things like the air intake to help the motor work easier. the biggest thing i saw in the riva kit is the athena. if i was going to spend some $$ id pick apart whats in the kit. ie get a fizzle air intake/catch can, vtech tune instead of athena ect.. save a ice chuck of change and still gain a mph or so.

you can prolly put that kit together for half the price if you are willing to buy things as you find them up for sale.

Def wouldn't be spending that for the results!
Im in Scotland and do my work myself and but parts from jerry mainly.
Id get an air intake fizzle or your own kanoflex, catch can,get a grate dependant on where you ride?
Solas prop or re-pitch stocker, and the vtech.

For less than half of what you are estimating...buy a new x charger...its a plug and play situation....you will see big difference.. To my opinion, more mph need more hp.. By adding an air filter, or exhaust...or an intake grate or filling the ride plate holes...or cutting the reverse bucket....you will gain at most 1 mph more.....maybe!

the gtr has the same injectors as the 260
so the best bang for your money
would be upgrade to a X charger (stock 260) and get a v-tech ecu flash
that will be all you need to have 260hp then you will need a new prop
this would be a real upgrade of almost 50hp for like $2500 and put you in the low-mid 70s mph (113+kph)
