    vTech tune troubles.

Hey folks might be in the wrong section of the forums, but figured was worth a shot since many of you have done it before. I am having problems with my map tuner and or with the program. everytime I plug my map tuner into my comp it keeps giving me error messages.Click image for larger version.

I have contacted vtech but it being the weekend I am doubtful they will respond....just a shot in the dark to see if any of you fine folk have had this problem resolved before.

    Cheers

Hmm. Got the latest version of the software?
It says that it can't connect to the Maptuner, so maybe the drivers isn't installed correctly? Try another USB-port? Windows usually tell you when it finds a new device and if it can find and install drivers for it.
I do not own a Maptuner myself...

Have you hooked it up to your ski and done a request? Did you follow the directions?

    vTech tune troubles.

Hey! In your taskbar (the lower part of the screen), the last icon to the right - correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that the "device manager" which notifies you when new hardware is detected (it then searches for drivers and so on...)?
Look that up, maybe the drivers weren't installed at the time when you started the program?

You need to enter your verification code that V tech or who ever you brought your tune from ...

Then check up dates again on your Maptuner then go to request tunes and they should all be there ....

Yeah iam sure it dosnt like win 8 ..

well the code that that was sent me in my email is apparently invalid. every time I intput it into the program it says it "failed to claim code, invalid code". Im sure theres nothing anyone can do at this point as apperenlty the code that I have seems to be my problem and that can only be fixed via vtech.

thanks for the advice though fellas, and if anyone runs into the problem I had I simply just went to a windows 7 comp

    cheers
