2012 RXP260 Sponsons on 2011 GTI
I bought 2012 RXP Sponsons for my seadoo 2011 GTI.
As the mounting is not the same, I need to redrill new holes to set the stabilizer spacers.
The question I ask myself is whether I drill the hull at the same level as the old holes or if I drill below the old ones.
One friend advise me to drill a little bit down, around 10mm below, in order to improve stability in choppy water at high speed.
The problem is that I can not do tests because it weakens the hull.
When I am fast, the piece of current sponsons in contact with hull seems to be at the same level than the water surface.
Is there someone who can help me?
Does anyone know if the mounting holes are on the same level on the 2011 RXT (old sponsons) and on the 2012 RXT (new model)?
Thanks for your help!

Pretty sure Jerry sells the rival racing sponsons for the gtr...they should fit without drilling

I did not know there were these new sponsons. I have not found many tests.
Moreover, old RIVA sponsons can be used.
On the other hand, OEM 2012 PX sponsons are cheaper than other sponsons and they probably are more efficient.

How did they work out and at what height were they installed?

Have performed this very same retro fit myself. Just use rear hole as first mounting hole and redrill at same height using level as guide.
