Water coming in from pump tunnel?! How do I fix it?

My FX SHO is taking on water back in the tunnel part right after the drive shaft comes in. It is on the side of the tunnel area. What would cause this and how do I fix it? I started after an impeller change.
Also it got water in the oil from having so much water in the hull. What is the best way to get all the oil out of the engine. I have a extractor but it won't get it clean.

You have to keep changing the oil till its milkshake free.....No reinforcement of the pump tunnel?

shoe pump has gone bad...in a recent thread about a vx taking on water you'll see the full write up on how to repair this. Pretty much the same thing for your ski, but a few other straightforward step..read it over and see if it makes sense. Its a simple job, but people get scared when doing it and try to take it to a dealer. And the will charge out the ass to do a relatively straightforward job.
