    SVHO Intercooler

As some of you have read. I had an issue with my SVHO FZR on it's maiden voyage. I lost throttle and flashed code 115,throttle body failure. Turns out the dealer found a piece of rubber lodged in the TB. Now I'm wondering is it a divider from the intercooler? I never been into one on a Yamaha so I'm unsure.

are you running a wheel? also that piece needs to be back in there, w/o that lots of hot air will just pass into the motor.

Bone stock for now. If it wasn't for the ribbon it would have more than likely gotten wedged in an intake port. How much of a pain is it to pull the cooler or could I just open it installed on the engine?

i'm wondering if this is going to be a failure for the svho. i don't know if you guys have seen a i/c open , i did as a curiosity and there is nothing holding that rubber piece on top of the core, it just seats there, cheap design.

are you taking the ski back to the dealer? they will need to install that piece back on , or just replace the whole i/c.
its not a big deal to remove the i/c , but here what i found on the one i open , the orange o'ring that goes around the whole top looks like its a size over once it goes out of its grooves, i try and try to get it in place with no luck.

since you got warranty i would take it back to them and let them play with it. i can take a picture of the one i've got open if you need to.

Ive taken a few cores out of them and when they get assembled its easy to accidentally misalign the divider/spacer. Its an easy tear down and makes your much more familiar with your skis intercooler system, and also how to easily add cooling lines...although im mainly speaking for the sho and not the svho...
