    Dewey Beach Launches

Where can I put my jet skis in the bay at dewey beach. I have been going there for many years and would like to finally take my skis with me. I did some walking around the streets on the bay side and it looked like there is a launch by north beach.

I don't remember seeing any buy the rudder except for the marinas and they wanted 10 dollars a day to put the skis in and take them back out. That's why I was wondering if I could launch them at the end of dagsworthy st right next to the club north beach.

Maybe I'll take a ride over to Dewey and take some pictures of those side streets beach and possible water access.

I'm guessing probably the best "free launch" in Dewey is at the end of Dagsworthy Street at the bay side. There is asphalt pavement all the way to the break onto the beach. Pieces of broken asphalt are washed into the sandy beach and would probably support the PWC trailer tires well. Traffic Signs are posted at the last one hundred feet or so, "no stopping, standing, parking". I would think that if you can get your drain plugs in and tie down straps off ahead of time, then back in and boat launch in 3 to 5 minutes you would be good? At High Tide you could probably drop the boat in the water very easily. To launch or retrieve the boat at low tide could be more effort involved. At low tide you might have to uncouple the trailer from the hitch, and roll it out into deeper water to load the boat? You could then attach the winch cable hook to the tow vehicle and pull the trailer tongue towards the tow vehicle ball and mount? You may need a couple of guys to assist? If you really got hung up, you could use one of the commercial for profit boat ramps? These pictures were taken AT LOW TIDE (7-6-2014).

I just rode from OCMD up the canal and out Indian river inlet and back to oc. That a good run. Not sure what kind of ski ya got but u should run from Dewey down to oc and grab lunch and head back. You can take the canal or run the ocean. It is an awesome run. Takes about 40 minutes inlet to inlet. Give or take. I know it's off topic but throwing the idea at ya
