    Ride plate fitting

Alright guys. Fighting coolant leak last couple times out. Tonight found fitting at ride plate leaking. Dumped coolant and started to hand tighten hose fitting. Male plastic fitting pull though the plate. Guessing, pull plate and split it right? Is there any other fix?

I think on a 07 you just screw a new fitting in.

Check out the oem parts to see what you need.

Nope. Unless my plate is not an 07. The barbed fitting is female. In the plate, there a cheap ass plastic male flanged fitting that tightens on the back side when tightened. That's what broke.

Guessing I can get them. I might make some out of stainless instead. Own a machine shop. Is splitting the plate pretty straight forward?

you cant get just the fitting. you have to buy a new plate. so if you're making a new fitting then that's a great idea. Ive never split the plate before. only thing im unsure of is the seal between the halves. cause im pretty sure you cant buy that either

I think it has a o ring type seal, if I remember correctly.

I opened one at one time to have a look. bolted it back together and still runs today no leaks...... yet......
