    Flimsy plastic engine cover

I have a 2010 RXTX 260. I always remove the plastic cover that covers the ECU and fuel rail so I can spray it with XPS and make sure it's not getting salty. The tabs suck and break. Is this cover really needed?

No just makes the engine look better, personally my 2004 one has been good for the last 10 years. Not sure why yours would keep breaking.

I broke mine the second time taking it off to winterize it. I had convinced myself it just pulled off,and gave her a quick yank. It came off....and broke the tabs. It's been on my shelf since,no problems here.
