    2005 rxp hour question.

Im sure this has been asked many times before, but I couldn't get a clear answer. Anyways...im looking at a 2005 rxp that is in the link below. My question: Is 198 hours a lot for this machine?

Sorry for such a newbie question, but figured I'd get input.

What is a "good" hour range to be looking at in a used RXP/RXT/supercharged GTX?

    Thanks.

198hrs isn't a lot, it still has lots of life in it. It will need some work though. It'll need the supercharger rebuilt, and will most likely need the carbon seal replaced. Price is a little high for a machine with those hours.

Also mods might show the ski was ridden hard. Just when you go see it make sure you get a good water test in, and look everything over. Check for any corrosion or work that looks like it was done by someone who doesn't know what they were doing.

The listing does mention that it has the washers replaced. It also says that the maintenance has been kept up to date. I'll have to ask when the washers and when the s/c was last serviced.

Ask when the supercharger was last rebuilt. If it hasn't been rebuilt yet, just have it fully rebuilt when you buy it.

No worries! The rebuild isn't that costly to do, just use it for negotiation. If you can get it for 3 something I would say you got a good deal.

Just checked your local craigslist. It's the best deal in your area.

The prices seem to be higher for sure in my area compared to the rest of the nation.

Theres definitly a swing thru out the year on what skis are worth. For me even if the supercharger was rebuilt, you dont know what parts were used. And replacing just the washers with those hours.. it needs a full rebuild anyways. It should be on it's second rebuild now.
