3 bar MAP sensor question
Sorry if I'm way behind or missed the discussion on this, but is this what we have all been waiting for to eliminate the need of an RRFPR with aftermarket ECU's when running C3 or larger SC wheels (to safely run them)? If keeping boost under what the tune is rated for?
For example, the R&D R3 ECU for the SHO engine (not SVHO) is rated for any SC wheel up to 18psi of boost, but we haven't been able to take advantage of it, because the stock MAP sensor is only able to send accurate data to the ECU up to 14.7psi of boost. To be more specific could I run an ET LB wheel with R3 tune, upgraded IC and other typical supporting mods with this 3 bar MAP sensor and not need an RRFPR? Should be safe to run correct?

From what I've been told the way to run an ETLB with an R3 and not need a RRFPR is to repitch the prop to get your RPMs down under 8300ish so you aren't boosting above 12-13psi where starts to get unsafe without more fuel.
