Anybody using Wiseco taperwall wrist pins?

Anybody? I usually run them in my sleds, with the OEM pistons. On the size for an 81mm bore, they drop 30 grams per cylinder. I initially started using them to even out the increase in piston weight when going to a big bore. They drop even more for the 85mm size. Was going to order a set for the Virage project...just wondered if anybody else knew about this little "secret"? Can't say I ever noticed a difference, but it never hurts to cut down on reciprocating weight.

I don't know anybody who's done that, interesting idea.
I do love the revving factor of a lightened flywheel unless of course you're in an endurance race.

Do they come standard with the pistons or are you talking about something special? I'm running a set of pro lites in my 750 for the last 9 or 10 years with no problems. I can't remember about the pins. It's been too long, but it's the complete Wiseco kit. Works for me!

Most of the prolites do come with them, but not all. Not a huge thing...probably similar to plug indexing washers...but it all adds up.

Yeah or subtracts, The tech guy told me that the setup was lighter than what I had from the factory. I never weighted them though. I'd go for the RAD flywheel if you really want to lighten it up. They are on ebay once in a while. I was pissed they listed one for the 780 after I got my engine all together and installed. no way I was taking it back out.

i have used them on one of my dragbike motors before but it was a small HP motor at about 200BHP. i would imagine they would be fine in a mild PWC motor.
