The gains don't come directly from the ECU. The ECU provides the ability to go beyond the factory set parameters such as RPM, Timing and Boost when combined with supporting mods. Done properly the gains are significant. On its own, not much.

You will see gain of 2-3 mph going from a stock ecu to the RIVA ecu without doing anything else.

The increase in timing will net the gain. You need to make sure your fueling is right though.

Do a 4" front air, prop pitched to 8500, R&D grate, 83mm nozzle, valve springs/retainers with the RIVA ecu and you will be 80 mph.

You don't need to touch the exhaust unless you want it louder.

so far my list of items ready to put on are. xx2 Charger upgrade. Riva intercooler relocation and pipe kit. HKS BOV, Rising Rate Regulator, Aluminum fuel raile with return line, 4" intake tube with AEM filter, 15/22r Solas, 83mm Nozzle, TDR Water Box, Rear Exit Riva, Was wondering is the ecu will make a difference with the items I already have. What is the safe rpm the motor can handle before springs and retainers are required. Also what would a re-pitch mean? less or more aggressive. Thanks

Ditch the BOV and AEM filter- do a velocity stack with screen.

TDR box is loud as .... Not a fan of it.

You are going to need springs and retainers with the RIVA ecu. Guys are getting away with 8400 rev limit with stock springs, but I think its a bad idea.

You need to monitor your AF's or risk a meltdown/ blown headgasket.

Also, with those mods you will be getting into to the stuffing zone for an RXPX. Hope you have some good health insurance just in case.

Scratch the BOV from your list, and buy a Riva exhaust if your gonna buy one. The TDR is garbage, and will fill your engine full of water if your not careful.

isn't the bov a safety feature to prevent boost surge that stalls supercharger? why scratch it off the list?

    BOV is not needed
lots of threads on the subject
the SC spins about 6x the motor rpm...
when you chop the throttle what slows down the SC?

So as a turbo charger would spin much faster and keep spinning high rpm during the throttle close and relieve the boost pressure and slow down turbine wheel the gear driven sc will slow down enough not to stall the compressor wheel as I am understanding it. therefore no bov is required but can it still be utilized as a safety measure or is it a marketing scheme to make money?

Also how can one design water box cause water ingestion and another style not. TDR looks like a hollow coffee can but have not seen the internals of a riva box. Have gutted several other styles for friends and made them louder and less restrictive, but never heard of a box filling a motor with water when it is down stream and lower than the exit nozzle of the exhaust manifold and rear exit will flow better than a cross over style
