    Finally, 80 mph!

Finally crossed that magic for me barrier of 80 with a strong 82.5 mph. Had FZS down for a clutch change and added an ET low boost wheel, picked up 400 rpm and 3.5 mph, along with 3.5 lbs more boost over the B1. Thank you Greenhulk for the good info and parts!!

what exactly were the before and after rpms ? at 8250rpm i made the same change and only saw 150rpm going to the ET.your rpms must of been higher where the B wheel just tapers off.never the less congrats !

I was at 8400 rpm, 11 lbs, and 79.0 with a Skat 14/23. I had previously been at 8770, 13lbs, and 78.5 with stock prop depitched to 18.5. I changed to the Skat and added a new "14 3 degree 85mm nozzle which dropped rpm to that 8400, which lowered the B1 boost since the rpm was lower. I lost the 09 clutch so decided to change wheels and get a R&D shaft in the SC for good measure. Today was first run, and pulled 8880 rpm on that run as well. Gonna add some pitch to the prop.

Yes, but I have always need to add fuel for some reason, I had my R2 reflashed to R3 last summer but still was a bit lean on top so continue to run the powershot. Probably need to get a rrfpr.

thats more like 480rpm and alot of it is the nozzle change.the nozzle will pick up 150-200rpms but the angle change may be cancelling some of the speed gains out.rather than a repitch to tame your rpms i think youd keep more of your speed going back to the stock nozzle

None of the rpm change is the nozzle, it was on it before I changed the wheel. I might try to go back but the boat does not bounce with the 3 degree nozzle.
