    no spark on 2002 Polaris Genesis carburetor engine

    02 genisis 1200 carbed engine.

    checked trigger coil 8.27 volts cranking. did the 9 volt battery on the trigger coils and got ohm spikes on the green red and blue wires.did stator test all good.primary coil test good.11.45 volts cranking.tach showing 1300 rpm while cranking.tried a different cdi (447) still no spark.hold bilge pump no spark.

    kind of stuck here.it should spark but does not.any sugestions would be appr.thanks

    By trigger coil you mean the Hall Effect sensors, correct?

    11.45 volts when cranking is right at the CDI wires?

    1300RPM showing on the MFI tachometer seems odd?
    Voltage noise in the electrical system? Possibly induced by the starter motor or LR module?

    Things to try;
    Disconnect and bypass the LR-505 Start/Stop module
    Disconnect stator Red/Purple and Yellow wires.
    Remove and clean the engine grounds, ohm check the stator black wire from electrical box to engine block.
    Remove and clean the solenoid end of the battery cable and the thin red wire.
    Replace or temporarily bypass the circuit breaker.

    yes the hall effect sensors.11.45 volts at cdi wires. lr 505 switches power to orange while cranking.still bypassed it and no spark. disconnect yellow and no tack signal. grounds clean 1 ohm stator black wire to block. all pos connections clean. circuit breaker bypassed.no spark.

    1.0 ohm is actually a bit high for a ground connection. Hard to be accurate with some meters. Probes shorted together, compared to probes on stator black wire to engine, what is the numerical difference?

    You checked the other stator coil ohms, both between the coil ends and to engine ground?

    Have you looked inside the flywheel housing for signs of water?

    1 ohm on 2 diff meters.other stator tests are good.no sign of water in the flywheel housing.just found where someone spliced the harness from the stator to the e box.maybe someone put an old style stator in.i dont have a n old one here but on the wiring diagrams the grey wire is different.guess its time to pull the stator and check

    pulled the stator out part # 4010170.did all the stator checks again and all is good.will have to recheck grounds in the box to find the 1 ohm.so anyone have any other suggestions
