    GP1200R Gasket Replacement Kit

I am rebuilding a GP1200R. I am going through the gasket replacement kit that I bought. It came with (2) green gaskets for the carb set. to attach to the reed plate. Why did it come with 2? The service manual doesn't call for a gasket between the reed plate and the reeds, which was my only thought for the extra one? Also does anyone know what the 3 o-ring gaskets, (3 large and 3 small, large about the size of the bottom of a glass, and the 3 smaller, the size of a quarter) are for? and the 6 rubber pieces that look like they are covers for a bolt/screw or something? Any help is great. Thanks

6 in top picture are seals for powervalve shafts, 3 big o rings in picture 2 go between oem air box and carbs ( not sure on 3 small o rings), 2 manifold gaskets on 2002 models they had a heat spacer that required gaskets both sides of spacer 2000-2001 only require one casket as the heat spacer was not used. Are those gaskets for the intake manifold/Reed cages, or are they for the flame arrestor housing? (I'm not a 1200 guy....I own a 701 and 760). Also the large orings may be for the heads. Some heads have orings instead of gaskets. Have you torn it apart yet? If'll find out when you tear into it. Sorry Tommy. ....I posted right after you......didn't see your post. So just disregard mine.

I just remembered now ( senior moment) the 3 small o rings go on the plastic water inlet tube between the exhaust manifold and the plastic water inlet tube, Tommy
