08 RXTX Only 50 MPH
I am getting a long beeb and only the word sensor on the display. No codes. Does anyone know what this might mean? It runs fine, but slow.

Re: 08 RXTX Only 50 MPHIt looks like there are 2 codes P1692 - VTS control down circuit open circuit or shorted to ground and P1593 - VTS malfunction.
Does anyone have any experience with this? You can not even see the VTS Motor or Module.

I would like to make the ski usable. I really do not need the trim for now. I can use the ski for the season without the trim. It is currently pointing slightly down. Can the external trim rod be screwed in from the outside to raise the trim to the center position or slightly above. If this works I can quickly get the ski working good enough. I can fix it off season.
Has anyone done this?
Thanks for any advice, John

You could have a dealer turn the vts off with buds or find someone with candoo pro.
The sensor error displayed I dont think its due to the vts. You may have another sensor going bad. The person with buds or candoo should be able to pull the code history and tell you what sensor is acting up.

Right now the trim is down too far and is greatly affecting the performance. I was just hoping that there was a simple way to move the actuator so the trim was near the middle. I really don't want to tear into it to fix it now.

You could make a custom shortend vts rod to get you through the season.
You can pull the motor and adjust also I think.

Yep.... you can pull the motor, set it manually where ever you want it... then bolt the motor back up. Turn off VTS with your Can Doo.... and your good to go!

Oh crap.....it isn't that difficult to pull the VTS and fix it! Do it!

Pull cover on VTS. There are 2 wires connectors in plastic couplers. Disconnect and add 12v across the 2 wires. +/- connected to one or the other will move the VTS up or down.
