2008 kawasaki ultra 250x supercharger belt failure
Hey so I'm new to this forum and looking for some help. I took my jet ski out this pass couple days and it started running like crap not wanting to go over 35 mph then it would run good for awhile then again wouldn't go over 35 mph . So I pulled it out of the water and checked it the next day and found the belt had fell of the pulleys and is bound up. So before I start to dig into it what should I look for and also what else could have possibly broke in the process thanks in advance for the help. Also attached photos .

it didnt just fall there, looks like the s/c seized, or the idler pulley, anyway looks like you need a new front charger pulley as the dampner has broken away, but im guessing the s/c is also toast so a new s/c comes with the pulley lol best you buy the belt tensioner whilst your at it,

So after taking apart pulley i've found that the bearing housing sheared off. s/c shaft still looks good and still turns easy so its not bound up. So my next question would be part numbers I cannot find a part number on the pulley bearing housing/hub . I did find a R&D pulley http://www.powersports1.com/rd-super...ductid=8689407 has anyone installed this part over OEM. thanks for the hep

Yes the rnd hub is a good replacement take note where the shims were.. you will also need a pulley, make sure the rotors havent started to peel and that the idler pulley bearing is ok.
This is one of the reasons we say remove the belt cover and leave it off so as you can keeep the pulleys flushed with fresh water and clean.

thanks nicjak for all the input also there was 5 shims and they were just on the spindle when I took the pulley off but from experience on working on things I don't ever throw things away . are these shims to align the pulleys?
