    Seadoo gtr 215 oil change

Well guys I've had my gtr for almost 3 months know. Have not got to do as much riding as I would like to. But almost have 20 hours on it. I want to get a oil change on it soon. I called my dealer they are 4 weeks out and he said 250 bucks. Ummm no thanks. I am sure I can do it myself I change the oil on my vehicles and my rzr. So basically do they sell a seadoo oil change kit? If so where is best place to order one.

Another thing that worries me is that I have the 2 year warranty will my warranty be voided if I do my own oil changes?

Any good old videos or right ups on doing oil change and what is all needed.

My dealer said it was OK to do my own oil. Just keep the receipts. Probably a good idea to buy oil ,and filter from dealer so it looks a little better should you need to present those receipts at some point.

The oil change is easy. You need a oil extractor to suck it through the dipstick hole. Should be able to get about 3 quarts out.
My RXP-X needs a E10 socket to remove the cartridge oil filter. I'm sure yours is the same.

The oil change instructions that came with the BRP oil said it was OK to run ski on hose for 5 mins before changing oil. Don't want to run much longer as it can overheat the carbon seal.

Make sure you get a good oil extractor, not some cheap one!

Thanks for the info, I've watched videos of the oil change it does not look bad. I ussually order my oil online the dealers around here spike things up. My oil change kit for my razr is 40.99 online and 75 at dealer.

a "good" extractor ( hand pump type ) run from $50 to $150 depending on brand and capacity. I use this one:

there is another discussion that is already working on this topic..

I don't mean to be a "baby" about this issue, but the board is often filled with requests that have been filled dozens of times...

"what oil extractor" is a pretty common question around here.

The hard part might be getting the oil filter cap off, but that one has been beat to death also, it's a real common issue for do-it-yourselfers
