    blow off valve at Idle releasing pressure

    Is it ok for blow off valve to release pressure when at idle or should i add washer or change spring for more pressure.

    what kind do you have? if it has a vacuum referance line then yea it will be open at idle due to the intake vacuum pulling it open.

    This blow off valve will close when open throttle right?i dont want to lose power.

    You can test it by removing the vac hose and capping the hose. It should be shut then.

    Thats how they work. It will close when the intake is at no vacuum or under boost. Unless its broken.

    would a leak in the vacuum hose from blow off valve to manifold intake make u lose power.

    no but the bov might not open like it should.

    is this how it should work when throttle is fully opened the intake manifold sucks enough volume to keep the valve closed then when throttle released the vacuum hose comes to effect working to help open quickly the piston.

    The best thing that you can do is to remove that unnecessary "soon to be a boost leak" BOV!
