Ate a bunch of sand and rocks! Need impeller/wear ring info

Ugh, beached the RXT today getting ready to put it on the trailer. A friend offered to put it on the trailer because the ramp was really busy. Anyways, he didn't push off far enough and ate a bunch of rocks, some still stuck in the impeller. Below are some picks. How bad is this and what needs replaced? I just pulled off the intake grate and the wear ring definitely looks and feels chewed up. Annoyed the ski only has 8 hours on it and now this.

Well, looks like you will need a new wear ring. You can try to pull the rocks out with a tool. Your impellor also looks pretty banged up for only 8 hours... Always operate your ski in 3 feet of water or more and never let a buddy ride it - unless they are experienced.

My friend has the same ski, thought he would have known better. So definitely a wear ring, possibly the impeller? I hate leaving it beaten up. OEM or aftermarket, what's the better option?

refurb the impeller $60-100 or so. or upgrade to something better-er $250-400

A simple search will turn up dozens if not hundreds of messages and how-to's on impeller service.

you'll need to examine the numerous debates on stainless vs. stock to make an informed choice.

I think I'm just going to put in an OEM wear ring.

I think I'll probably replace the impeller too and keep this as a backup. The ski is stock, are there any benefits to going to an aftermarket impeller, or should I just get a factory one? The Solas SRZ-CD-15/20R is only $20 more, but I'm not sure if there is any benefit, or worse if it will hurt top end on my stock ski.

What other parts should I replace if any? It only has 8 hours, but should I get a new neoprene seal, cone o-rings, impeller boot, etc? I don't want to half-ass anything.
