    Arrow 1997 Polaris SLT 700 one cylinder overheat

    Was going to ride this weeken.Started fine but after 10 min of slow ride one of mine cylinders overheated . Cylinder cover changed actualy color. Where to start?

    I would first pull the water rail on the top of the engine and check the thermostat/popoff assembly for proper operation. I would be willing to bet the popoff valve is stuck. If that isn't this issue then I would look for blocked/pinched hoses or debris in the engine cooling passages.

    Check your compression. That will tell you if you need to rebuild the top end.

    Took it apart, head melted on one side and cylinder little bit too. Did not see any clogs . What could happened? Any ideas?
