Batteries - which one and why...

Looks like one of my skis needs a new battery. 2006 GTX. What do you folks recommend? Any to avoid? I see ebay has endless alternatives and they all look the same to me. Greenhulk also has options and I could use a recommendation from the gallery.

just make sure its a agm type
the batterys made by East Penn are some of the best
they make them for many companies. Deka, American and Intimidator are their own brands
Intimidator marine batteries have 2x the cycle life of conventional batterys

There seem to be many, many batteries claimed to be AGM. Especially on ebay. Does anyone have any experience with any of the volume players on that site? Pirate, Powersource, TMS, WPS, Yuasa, etc?

My recommendation is a factory sealed Deka manufactured AGM battery.

Sold under their own Deka label by East-Penn, also sold under a number of other brand names. You can identify the Deka AGM batteries by the distinctive battery post design and the red plastic cap with two brass ring spacers.

There seem to be many Deka batteries to choose from. What model battery is OEM for a 2006-2007 GTX? YTX, YB, YI...

    Just look it up.

    http://www.showmetheparts.com/dekamobile/

ETX30LA version (replaces YB30CL-B) includes the 22mm plastic spacer, which is needed for some installations as the Deka AGM battery is slightly shorter than the original lead-acid battery.
