    Question For any Lake Vacationers...........

Do you all do anything special when you take your skis to a freshwater lake for a weeks vacation? My skis will be left tied up at the private floating dock.

I can easily spray fluid film in the engine bay after each daily use.

Curious to hear your suggestions or advice.

    Thanks.

I personally use CRC Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor. Coats metal with a skin and doesn't need to be reapplied daily.

Check for water in hull rather frequently first day or two. Trailered skis may have leaks you don't know about because they never sit in the water. Ask me how I know.

If its fresh water going through them all week, is there any need to worry about flushing?

I figured the only real thing to keep my eye on is leaks and keeping the engine compartment dry and protected with anti-corrosion (fluid film)

    Thanks.

No flushing necessary with lake water.

Have fun and watch out for the teenagers on rental skis!

If make sure to put a good coat of wax. I've gotten some serious water spots lake riding.

Take a couple ropes and fenders in case you can't tie up the way you like. Also enough gas cans if its inconvenient to haul out to fill up.
